Dr. Alexandra Karydi, will discuss how to effectively move on after an unsuccessful suicide attempt.  Dr. Karydi is currently the Project Director for the SC Youth Suicide Prevention Initiative a community movement to end suicide in children
and young adults.  She has been working with kids and their families throughout her travels since 2000. 
She will share her knowledge and experience to help us cope and recover.



NAMI Mid-Carolina recognizes that the key concepts of recovery, resiliency and support are essential to improving the wellness and the quality of life of all persons affected by mental illness. Mental illnesses should not be an obstacle to a full and meaningful life for persons who live with them. We will advocate at all levels to ensure that persons affected by mental illness receive the services they need and deserve in a timely fashion.

Zenethia Brown is the executive director of NAMI Mid-Carolina, she and her staff strive to educate the community while promoting understanding of mental illness and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness.
